The key difference in Seed2System products is the proprietary Vapor Distillation™ extraction method.

Vapor Distillation™ uses heated air to extract a full array of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes without the use of chemicals or harsh solvents.

Our extracts are Flash Activated™ in seconds instead of minutes or hours, which preserves the naturally occurring cannabinoids, beneficial terpenes and natural flavors; creating an overall more pure and potent product.

As compared to CBD isolate, Full-Spectrum extraction allows for the maximization of the “entourage effect”, where all the naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes work synergistically to provide the most effective benefits of the plant.

Whole flower extract that contains the highest level of naturally-occurring terpenes of any other extraction method. This means no terpenes are added post-extraction (the “True” in our True Full-Spectrum).

Does the product use only organically grown hemp?

Seed2System (S2S) only uses organically grown hemp in our extracts.

Extraction method determines potency, bioavailability and overall effectiveness. Common extraction methods include Ethanol, CO2 and Lipid Extraction.

S2S only uses Vapor Distillation™ for our extraction method.

Milligram (mg) of CBD or “hemp extract” per milliliter (ml) plays a role in a product’s potency. An average dosage should be around 20-25 mg.

Other variables that factor into product potency include extraction and post-extraction methods, including nano-emulsification.

S2S uses only full spectrum hemp extract with a minimum of 20 mg per dose.

CBD can be extracted as a full spectrum extract, with an array of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes, or as an isolate (just CBD).

Isolate is best for individuals who want zero levels of THC in their product.

Full Spectrum is best for individuals who want a more potent and effective product that contains an array of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes (with THC levels of .03% or less).

Seed2System products are made with only True Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract. “True” Full-Spectrum means no terpenes are added back into the product post extraction.

Hemp Oil is cold pressed oil from hemp seeds, much like Olive Oil. This can be used in cooking, but contains little to no cannabinoids.

Hemp Extract (sometimes referred to as Hemp Oil) is extracted from the flowers of the hemp plant, and contains beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes.

When purchasing a CBD product, avoid products that say seed or stalk derived.

Seed2System products are made with from Hemp Extract produced from hemp flowers.
In the past few years, CBD oil as a medicinal and holistic health product has exploded in popularity. According to an article published by Consumer Reports in April 2019, an estimated 64 million people in the U.S. have tried CBD oil in the last 24 months. With all this buzz, it’s important to understand what CBD oil is (and is not), especially compared with products like hemp seed oil which do not share the same health benefits. Here’s what you need to know about the differences between hemp oil vs. CBD oil.

First, the basics. In the simplest sense, CBD oil is made from extracting oil from the buds and leaves of the cannabis plant for more powerful health benefits, while hemp seed oil (commonly referred to as just “hemp oil”) is derived only from the less potent seeds.

There’s much more to it than that, though.

CBD is the abbreviation for a compound called cannabidiol found in the cannabis plant.  Cannabis plants have a sticky resin on their flowers (buds). These sticky flowers are covered with trichomes. Trichomes contain the highest concentration of medicinal compounds that include not only CBD, but also tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), flavonoids, and terpenes (highly aromatic oils that offer a range of benefits).

Also referred to as hemp extract, CBD oil is extracted primarily from the cannabis plant’s flowers, stalks, and other biomass. CBD oil has levels of CBD that are higher than hemp seed oil, but it still complies with 2018 Farm Bill rules that the THC levels in the final product be 0.3% or less. This low level of THC means that people can legally experience the benefits of CBD oil without psychoactive effects.

CBD oil does not produce the high that occurs with THC and has few if any, side effects. We’ll discuss some of CBD oil’s major health benefits shortly.

When people talk about hemp oil vs. CBD oil, the comparison is most accurate if we actually specify hemp seed oil vs. CBD oil.

Both come from hemp plants. Hemp and cannabis plants are different versions of cannabis sativa, with hemp plants bred specifically for high CBD-low THC and cannabis plants that are used for marijuana having higher concentrations of THC.

What we typically call hemp oil is derived from just the seeds of the hemp plant. It has low levels of CBD and is often used as a wellness product in topical applications for skin conditions. Think it as similar to olive or flaxseed oil.

From pain relief to anxiety, CBD oil can have a number of effects on the body.

When the potential benefits of CBD were first discovered, some researchers thought that CBD isolate, a highly concentrated version of CBD oil that only contains CBD would be the most effective. This followed traditional thinking that highly concentrated forms of medicine were most effective.

What they didn’t consider is something now known as the entourage effect. The trichomes on the cannabis flower contain not only CBD and THC but also a host of terpenes, terpenoids, and other compounds.

Because of this entourage effect with all of the available compounds working together, recent research using full-spectrum CBD oil has indicated that while CBD isolate does have a higher potency, full-spectrum CBD oil of the sort we produce at Seed 2 System has more potential benefits.

These are some of the leading CBD oil benefits researchers are currently studying.

CBD works on a different endocannabinoid receptor in our bodies than THC does. THC binds to CB1 receptors (related to mood, appetite, memory, and coordination), but CBD binds to CB2 receptors. These receptors are found in the immune system and connect to the body’s response to pain and inflammation. CBD oil may help prompt the body to produce more natural cannabinoids that control pain and inflammation.

A 2017 study found that CBD oil did decrease pain and inflammation from osteoarthritis, and another study in 2018 indicated that CBD oil alleviated intractable pain (that is, pain that doesn’t improve from other treatments) and the anxiety that came with it.

A study in 2015 found that the action of CBD oil in the CB2 cannabinoid receptor provided profound relief of anxiety.

Early studies and an abundance of positive anecdotal evidence suggest that CBD oil’s action on the CB2 receptor provide the same protection against inflammation as more traditional medicines.

For athletes, both professional and amateur, this could mean faster muscle recovery and more effective workouts.

CBD oil has shown promise in controlling seizures, the pain from osteoarthritis, and anxiety in dogs.

Because CBD oil was classified as a Schedule 1 drug until recently, there is even less research on animals than there is on humans. But as veterinarians and pet owners report more anecdotal success in treating a variety of conditions, more research is forthcoming.

When buying CBD oil, it’s crucial to focus on finding a high-quality, full-spectrum CBD oil from a reputable seller. The seller should be transparent about their process, all the way from the seeds they use to their packaging processes.

A report in 2015 found that nearly 70% of CBD oil products are mislabeled. As CBD oil is not addictive and does not come with significant side effects, it does not represent a life-threatening danger to the person using it. However, incorrectly labeled CBD oil can skew the dosage and be less effective.

At Seed 2 System, our goal is to deliver to you the purest, high-quality full-spectrum CBD oil you can find. We are committed to managing this process from the seed in the ground to the package in your hand.

Because Seed 2 System uses the vapor distillation process, the compounds in our CBD oil are preserved, extracting more of the medicinal cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from the plant. We don’t use solvents that could flavor our CBD oil or damage these compounds. Instead, a precise burst of heated air extracts them without harmful chemicals. This heated air flows across the surface of the plant, distilling a vapor that Seed 2 System then condenses into our 100% natural, full-spectrum CBD oil.

In 2018, the Farm Bill legalized Hemp CBD in the U.S. It created regulations as to the percentage of allowable, natural THC in products (0.3% or less), but not much else. For one, it didn’t define the many differences in CBD products, and full-spectrum vs. broad-spectrum (and what is CBD isolate?) is just one of those questions many consumers have. At Seed2System, we’re committed to making Hemp CBD products more transparent and approachable for people. This is what you should know about full-spectrum vs. broad-spectrum vs. isolate CBD oils. Have additional questions? You’re always welcome to contact our team to learn more.

full spectrum vs broad spectrum

Cannabinoids are unique compounds in cannabis plants. Of the hundreds that exist, the two most well-known are THC and CBD. Along with terpenes and flavonoids, THC and CBD can provide a host of potential benefits that may include:

One of the main differences between the two, and the reason many people are turning to CBD instead of THC, is that CBD acts on the endocannabinoid receptors in a way that does not trigger psychoactive effects. In other words, CBD has the potential to provide the same benefits as THC but without the feeling of being “high.” As CBD is legal in all 50 U.S. states, it is also more readily available.

However, with this ready availability comes questions about quality and the product itself. Providers throw terms like “full-spectrum” and “broad-spectrum” around, but what do they actually mean in terms of the effectiveness of the product?

An educated consumer is the best kind. It’s crucial to know what these terms mean when shopping for high-quality and highly effective CBD oil.

Full-spectrum CBD oil might be considered the most “natural” form of CBD. This type of CBD oil utilizes the entire plant in the extraction process: the seeds, stalk, leaves, and all other plant matter. It distills not only CBD from this process, but also other flavonoids, terpenes, and fatty acids.

The beneficial compounds in full-spectrum CBD oil work together in what is known as the entourage effect. In the simplest sense, these compounds working together provide more benefits than if they were to be isolated and taken on their own. With full-spectrum varieties, a trace amount of THC may still remain (though always less than the 0.3% amount required by the Farm Bill).

Broad-spectrum CBD oil is similar to full-spectrum CBD oil but with one major difference: the THC is completely removed.

This may occur after extracting a full-spectrum CBD, or manufacturers might isolate all compounds first and then combine them for different purposes. Since this process removes some compounds from the oil, it may not produce the same entourage effect and benefits that occur with full-spectrum oils.

CBD isolate oil is exactly what it sounds like: it consists of isolated CBD oil molecules only.

No terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids, or other beneficial cannabinoids are included in CBD isolate oil.

Full-spectrum CBD oil is largely considered to be the most effective choice between full-spectrum vs. broad-spectrum. One of the reasons CBD oil has medicinal promise for so many conditions is that the hundreds of cannabinoids are all working together. Each enhances and compliments the effects of the other (the entourage effect, mentioned above).

Unlike traditional prescription medications that stress the purity of one compound, high-quality full-spectrum CBD oil relies on all of the compounds to contribute.

For consumers who are particularly sensitive to THC or who do not want to ingest any THC at all (due to your job or other reasons), broad-spectrum CBD oil might be a good choice. The main concern with broad-spectrum CBD oil becomes knowing exactly what compounds are in your oil and in what amounts. As mentioned above, because there is very little regulation about what goes on the label for CBD products, this can be a challenging spot for consumers.

Full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD oils do have many applications. However, CBD isolate oil on its own seems to have limited benefit for the health conditions listed above.

Because it can be challenging to find a high-quality product you can trust, here are five tips when choosing your CBD oil.

Consumer Reports found that states who have legalized cannabis have stricter standards and tighter regulations even when it comes to CBD oil.

For example, Seed2System uses hemp seeds from HGH Seed Inc., a hemp seed producer that works with researchers from Colorado State University for high quality and consistent seeds. Located in a state that has legalized cannabis means we stress the quality of every aspect of our product, from seed to final extraction.

Chemical or prolonged high-heat extraction methods may claim to produce full-spectrum CBD oils, but they can damage or change beneficial cannabinoids in the process.

At Seed2System, we use a patented vapor distillation process that uses water to gently extract the highest concentration of compounds possible.

Read labels carefully. Avoid products that say “pure CBD” or “no THC” as these are not full-spectrum products.

Because of that, they will not provide the benefits of full-spectrum CBD oil (but they might come with the same price tag – buyer beware!).

When you read the label, make sure your full-spectrum CBD oil doesn’t contain sweeteners or thickeners as these can introduce unknown and unregulated materials into your CBD oil.

Seed2System never includes artificial flavors or colors. Our 1500 mg gold tincture (and our 600 mg silver tincture) are available in their natural, lightly nutty flavor or with a pure mint taste.

Reputable sellers are happy, willing, and able to talk directly to consumers. They’ll be ready to answer all of your questions about their products. They should be able to talk about where their seeds are produced and grown, as well as their extraction process.

At Seed2System, we are dedicated to providing you the highest quality product from the seed to your bodily system. Get in touch today to learn more!

The skin is the largest organ of our bodies. With so much real estate to work with, a CBD salve can help you ease soreness, increase relaxation, and improve the overall health of your skin. Read on to learn more about its benefits and how to use CBD salve appropriately.

cayenne peppermint salveA CBD salve is usually CBD (cannabidiol) combined with beeswax, a carrier oil or lotion, and essential oils or other healing skin conditioners. CBD is one of the many compounds extracted from the cannabis sativa plant. It offers a variety of potential health benefits without the psychoactive effects or ‘high’ more famously known from another compound from the same plant, THC.

Recent studies have suggested that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) that exists throughout the body (with a concentration of receptors in the brain) regulates the effects from oral CBD applications and it also exists in the skin as well. Known as the cutaneous ECS, this system promotes the healthy creation and spread of skin cells. Healthy skin cells go deeper than glowing skin, though. Skin damage or disruption can actually help predict systemic disease.

Absorbed easily through the skin, there are a variety of reasons people might reach for a CBD topical salve instead of other CBD formulations. Some use it for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects that promote healthy skin. Others use CBD salve that’s specially formulated to relieve muscle soreness and fatigue. This can help you relieve tension and aches in specific muscle groups or areas. It also makes for a more relaxing application that can help with anxiety or sleep issues.

Finally, some people who are interested in the benefits of CBD for their health might avoid taking it orally due to the chance that it could appear on a drug test. CBD salve does not place CBD into the bloodstream, making it a safer choice for those with employment concerns.

CBD salve benefits are being studied closely, but here’s what we know so far:

With all of the potential benefits of CBD salve, it’s crucial to learn more about how to use it properly to maximize its benefits.

cbd salves

A salve is a soothing way to utilize the power of CBD topically. Because a CBD topical salve typically has more premium ingredients (e.g., essential oils and carrier oils or creams), it’s important to use the salve properly to get the most benefits.

You probably won’t need to slather your entire body with CBD salve: that’s not the best approach here.

If you are treating joint soreness, say in the knee or elbow, focus there. Spot treatments for acne flare-ups or eczema? Only use salve on those spots.

Wherever you are treating, make sure it’s clean. Wash your hands and use a wipe or a washcloth to clean the area being treated. You don’t need a shower every time you apply a CBD salve, but you should make sure the desired area is free from dirt and bacteria.

Ever heard the slogan, “start low and go slow” when figuring out the correct CBD dosage? The same applies for CBD salve.

Try the salve on a small test area of skin first to make sure you do not experience any reaction. CBD oil itself is not typically reactive for most people, but sometimes the added ingredients can cause skin irritation. For this reason, it’s also important to look for brands that focus on natural ingredients and thoroughly list all the components of their salve.

Your skin will absorb the CBD salve without a massage, but do yourself a favor and rub it in well. This can be a luxurious part of your self-care routine any time of day. At night, it can be a cue to the body to slow down and destress.

Just as with oral CBD like tinctures and gummies, the correct “dosage” of a salve depends completely on the person using it. Everyone’s personal chemistry is different. Your skin will absorb the CBD salve at your own personal rate.

Use a small amount of CBD salve on the target area and wait 15 to 30 minutes. This is approximately how long it takes to begin working. The shift might be subtle, you might find it’s  easier to move that area, or you could notice less redness in a rash. If nothing happens after 30 minutes, apply a bit more salve.

For some people, CBD salve begins to work immediately and produces long-lasting effects. For others, the effects are more subtle and take a few applications.

The best way to determine how it’s working is to go about your normal activities and pay attention to how it feels. There are many different factors that influence how CBD salve works, including your activity level, the condition being treated, and the potency of the CBD salve you use.

CBD Lavender SalveThe very best salves start with the very best CBD seeds. At Seed2System, we start with High Grade Hemp Seed, grown for us in Colorado and we control every aspect of production and manufacturing all the way until the product is in your hand. That’s why our name is Seed2System—it’s like a ‘farm to table’ restaurant.

Next, take a look at the added ingredients. CBD salves are usually created with a combination of beeswax and another type of oil. These should feel smooth and silky on the skin, not greasy or overly sticky.

Essential oils may also be added for their therapeutic effects. For example, for relaxing and healing muscle recovery, lavender and arnica make a great combination. Seek out the combination that is best for whatever condition you are managing.

What you don’t want is a CBD salve with artificial ingredients or chemicals you cannot pronounce. The best CBD salves are as close to the plant as possible, with a full spectrum of beneficial hemp terpenes and compounds to speed your recovery.

Our Seed2System team loves helping people find the best CBD salve for them. Get in touch today! We’d love to talk more about the healing power of CBD and answer all of your questions.

When your four-legged best friend is in pain, you want to do everything you can to help them feel better. Recent years have seen the rise of CBD dog treats for pain, but how do you know which is the best CBD dog treat? And do they really work? This guide to CBD oil for pain in dogs can get you started.

CBD dog treats

Cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD, is a compound found in both cannabis and hemp plants. Unlike the compounds found in cannabis (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC), CBD products do not produce the psychoactive effects commonly associated with smoking or ingesting cannabis.

CBD oil is extracted from a plant’s flowers, stalks, and biomass and has a level of THC that is in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill (0.3% or less).

Similar to the way it works in humans, this CBD binds to endocannabinoid receptors in a dog’s central and peripheral nervous systems. The nervous system receives and interprets signals from the body related to pain, anxiety, and other discomfort. In this way, CBD products may reduce pain and anxiety signals reaching the brain.

The most common uses of CBD oil for dogs is for arthritis and cancer pain, with other emerging research in preventing seizures.

Because the focus of CBD oil research has been on humans, there are just a few studies of the benefits of CBD oil for dogs. The research there is, though, has been very promising and there are more studies in progress.

A 2018 study by researchers from Ithaca College and Colorado State University found that just 2mg of CBD oil administered twice daily increased comfort and mobility in dogs suffering from osteoarthritis. For all dogs in the study, there were no reported side effects.

Another 2018 study by Colorado State University saw a reduction in frequency of seizures in 89% of dogs who suffered from epilepsy.

The American Kennel Club has also recognized substantial anecdotal evidence from dog owners that CBD may be effective in treating the following conditions:

  • Anxiety
  • Low appetite
  • Cancer pain
  • Nausea
  • Inflammation
  • Cardiac conditions
  • Gastrointestinal conditions

Few and rare side effects have been reported with CBD oil for dogs. The most common side effects include dry mouth, low blood pressure, and drowsiness.

It’s important to note that products with THC should never be given to dogs, as it can result in a condition referred to as marijuana toxicity. The level of THC in CBD oil for dogs is very low and generally recognized as safe, but talk to your vet about any concerns you have.

While hemp oil (or hemp seed oil) is extracted only from the seeds of the cannabis plant, CBD oil comes from the whole plant. This whole-plant extraction means that CBD oil not only has the properties of CBD but also comes with a host of other flavonoids and terpenes, most of which are found on trichomes in the sticky, resin-covered buds of the plant. Researchers are finding that part of what makes CBD oil effective is the entourage effect – all of these compounds working together.

Hemp seed oil may be effective for some topical applications, but it is generally lower in CBD and does not have other beneficial compounds.

Before treating your dog with CBD oil, it’s important to have them evaluated by their vet. A qualified veterinarian can help determine the best dosage and monitor your dog’s progress.

How much CBD oil you give your dog depends on a variety of factors. The most important of these is how the CBD oil is delivered. There are generally two main ways to treat your dog with CBD oil: edible treats and tinctures.

cbd dog treats

CBD dog treats are the easiest (and tastiest!) way to treat your dog. Always follow your vet’s recommendations, but general treatment guidelines for CBD dog treats at 2mg each are as follows.

  • Dogs under 10 pounds: one treat daily
  • Dogs 10-25 pounds: two treats daily
  • Dogs 25-50 pounds: three treats daily
  • Dogs over 50 pounds: four treats daily

If you have a larger dog, you may want to consider a tincture instead.

If you are treating your dog on a budget or your dog is very large, a CBD tincture for dogs is a good option. This can be trickier to administer, but most dogs will not notice the natural, slightly nutty flavor of the tincture when it is combined with their food.

The dosage will vary with a tincture, but aim for 4mg a day. Talk to your vet for specific dosing guidelines for your dog.

Your dog’s health depends on the quality of the products you give them. Seed2System sources seeds directly from HGH Seed Inc. who works closely with Colorado State University to develop their seed varieties. We track our seeds from the moment they go in the ground all the way to the consumer. We also test our products constantly to make sure that our CBD oil doesn’t exceed mandated THC levels but still delivers the amount of medicine your dog needs.

Lower-quality CBD oils use chemicals or solvents to extract CBD, damaging the plant’s compounds and compromising its effectiveness. At Seed2System, we use vapor distillation to extract full-spectrum CBD oils. The vapor distillation process means that your CBD oil is 100% natural and preserves the plant’s terpenes and other compounds to enhance medicinal effects.

Our CBD dog treats and CBD tincture for dogs take advantage of this process to produce powerful healing treatments. Seed2System’s CBD dog treats for pain are formulated by a vet and come in a beef flavor that dogs love. For our CBD tincture for dogs, Seed2System doesn’t add flavor or sweeteners, so you know your dog is getting the medicinal benefits without anything added.

At Seed2System, we know you want the best for your pet. If you have questions about your treatment options, or want to come visit our farms in Longmont, Colorado, get in touch today. Dogs welcome!

Arthritis symptoms and pain can be debilitating and can make your daily life challenging. CBD oil for arthritis pain may help you relieve pain safely and effectively from the first treatment. Here’s what you should know about this approach.

There are over 100 different kinds of arthritis that affect an estimated 54 million people in the U.S. Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis are two of the most common types of arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder that causes the body to turn on itself. The increased activity of the immune system causes swelling and inflammation in the joints of the body. On the other hand, osteoarthritis is a “wear-and-tear” condition that occurs as we age. Our joints (especially the ones that are weight-bearing, like the knees, hips, and ankles) begin to ache as the protective cartilage between them gets thinner and bone rubs on bone.

CBD oil for arthritis

In addition to pain, both forms of arthritis come with a host of other symptoms. These may include:

  • Insomnia
  • Irritability
  • Decreased range of motion in the joints

CBD oil (cannabidiol oil) may be able to help.

A full-spectrum CBD oil is made from all parts of the plant, including the leaves, stems, and other biomass of the hemp plant. Because of this, it contains not only CBD but also terpenes and other compounds that may help relieve your arthritis symptoms.

These compounds bind to endocannabinoid receptors in the brain and immune system, specifically the CB2 receptors. These receptors can help relieve the pain and inflammation of arthritis. As an added bonus, CBD may prompt the body to make more of its own cannabinoids to combat the symptoms of arthritis.

There are three promising studies that focus on CBD oil for rheumatoid arthritis.

  1. One of the earliest studies of CBD oil for arthritis found that CBD changed the way the pain receptors responded to pain signals.
  2. A 2016 review of available research also found that cannabinoids did have a positive effect on pain, sleep, and quality of life.
  3. In 2018, another round-up of studies that included both THC and CBD found that CBD did act on receptors in the immune system to slow the body’s inflammatory response, which could be helpful in managing and decreasing arthritis pain.

Osteoarthritis studies with CBD oil focus mainly on animals models, but they do point towards it benefits.

One study in 2017 found that CBD oil decreased joint deterioration and pain due to osteoarthritis. Another earlier study (2015) found that transdermal CBD oil (e.g., a salve or a cream) reduced pain and inflammation in animals.

The research on CBD for arthritis is promising but most researchers agree that more needs to be conducted. The 2018 Farm Bill made CBD with THC levels .3% or lower legal in all 50 U.S. states. Thankfully, this should lead to larger studies and more definitive research.

CBD oil for arthritis is most often administered as an oral tincture or as a topical oils.

A CBD tincture is either delivered sublingually (under your tongue) or via a spray. The mucous membranes in your mouth absorb the treatment quickly. Tinctures can take between 15 and 30 minutes for the effects to become apparent. Most tinctures are sold in either one or two ounce bottles.

CBD creams and salves are massaged directly into your affected joint. Some of them combine essential oils or other medicinals to enhance treatment.

Seed2System offers CBD arthritis cream with cayenne and peppermint and another with relaxing lavender essential oil. Both CBD creams also contain arnica, a homeopathic treatment that has been shown to reduce swelling and pain in joints.

Topical creams and salves may begin to relieve pain in as few as ten minutes. The only potential side effect of CBD arthritis cream is an allergic reaction, so test a small patch of skin before proceeding with treatment.

One of the keys to successfully managing your arthritis with CBD is finding the right dose for your body. This could depend on your level of pain, other treatments you are using, and the progression of your arthritis. Relief from the symptoms of arthritis always depends on a variety of factors that are highly individualized to each person. Your body is a complete system—the dose, frequency, and more will be unique to you.

It’s also crucial to note that while the levels of THC in CBD products for arthritis are legal, you should always talk to your doctor and employer before taking it. There is a chance that trace amounts of THC could appear in a drug test. Further, talk to your doctor to discuss any potential side effects of this treatment. While side effects of CBD oil for arthritis are minimal, patients may experience dry mouth or drowsiness when taking oral preparations, such as tinctures.

The best way to titrate your dosage is to talk to your doctor and pay attention to how your body responds to treatment. Working with a reputable CBD provider can also help you learn more about your treatment and dosage options.

CBD oil for arthritisIf you are considering CBD oil for arthritis, start with your doctor to discuss any potential adverse interactions with your current medications.

Another key to effectively incorporating CBD oil for arthritis into your treatment plan is making sure you are using the highest quality CBD oil available. The FDA issued warning letters to companies for claiming higher levels of CBD than were present. It’s important that your producer is transparent and open about their CBD products.

The best way to avoid poor quality CBD oil is to work with a company that follows its product from the seed to you. Seed2System starts with HGH Seed Inc., an established hemp seed producer that works with Colorado State University to ensure a high-quality, consistent product.

We extract our CBD oil using vapor distillation, a process that captures CBD and other beneficial compounds without using chemicals or solvents. The resulting product is rich in natural terpenes and cannabinoids that work together in the “entourage effect,” with each compound enhancing the effectiveness of the other.

Finally, Seed2System’s products don’t contain sugar or artificial flavors. Our high-quality, full-spectrum CBD oil is as close to the whole plant as we can get it, preserving its beneficial properties with a mild, nutty flavor.

Joint pain affects an estimated 54 million people in the U.S. Managing your pain requires a comprehensive pain treatment strategy, which now includes a newer option: CBD oil for joint pain. This is how it could help you relieve your pain and how to use it.

cbd oil for joint painThe 2018 Farm Bill made CBD oil with a THC content of less that 0.3% legal across the U.S. This allows more people to enjoy the health benefits of this material.

Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is extracted from the leaves, stems, and flower of the hemp plant. In addition to the CBD oil itself, this extract includes minor cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes that work together to provide additional health benefits. This is referred to as the “entourage effect.” The entourage effect of full-spectrum CBD oil allows each compound to work better together.

But how does it work?

Your body contains the endocannabinoid system. This system has two main types of receptors (CB1 and CB2) that connect to the brain, peripheral nervous system, and immune system, respectively.

Your CB1 receptors affect things like mood, appetite, and memory. CB2 receptors in the immune system govern your pain and inflammation response. CBD oil supports these receptors not only to control pain and inflammation, but also to prompt the body to release more natural cannabinoids.

Unlike THC, which works on the CB1 receptors, CBD oil is non-psychoactive and does not produce the stereotypical “high” of THC.

CBD for joint pain capitalizes on many potential health benefits. To start, the best CBD oil for joint pain may help relieve inflammation and pain due to the following conditions:

  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis

These conditions share many of the same symptoms. Pain, swelling, heat, and redness in the joint are most common. Some of these conditions also come with fatigue, concentration issues, and difficulty sleeping. CBD oil may help with the joint pain itself, as well as the accompanying symptoms of these conditions.

Research is discovering that CBD works on pain and inflammation the body in a variety of ways. The latest research suggests that:

cbd oil for joint painYou may take CBD oil for joint pain in a number of ways, including tinctures and applied transdermally in a cream or ointment.

This is how each delivery method works. With each of these, work with your doctor to find the best dosage and method.

Tinctures are concentrated forms of CBD oil usually found in one- or two-ounce bottles. The most common delivery systems are a spray or dropper that you may use as needed.

Seed2System offers two flavors of our tinctures, mint or a natural flavor. Our 600 mg bottle is good for those just beginning to explore the potential benefits of CBD oil for joint pain, and our 1500 mg tincture may help with ongoing management of chronic pain conditions.

Transdermal CBD oil is applied in a light layer directly to skin in the affected area. This type of application works well not only for joint pain but also for sore muscles in recovery. Massage into the skin or sore joint. Apply several thin layers frequently, as opposed to one thick layer once.

Many transdermal preparations, like our cayenne peppermint and lavender CBD transdermal creams, also contain other beneficial herbs and extracts, including:

  • Arnica: Works on inflammation
  • Peppermint: Soothes fatigued or inflamed muscles
  • Cayenne: Contains capsaicin which may alleviate joint pain
  • Lavender: Provides relaxing relief to reduce pain

cbd oil for join painMany people using CBD oil for joint pain wonder what the correct dose is for them. At Seed2System, we know that the best dose is the one that works for each individual person. Everyone’s body responds to medications differently, and CBD for joint pain is no exception.

If they occur at all, CBD side effects are minimal. They may include dry mouth, decreased appetite, and fatigue.

It’s important to work closely with your doctor to find the right dose for you. In addition to helping you find the best dose, your doctor may evaluate any potential adverse interactions with other medications you may be taking. It’s always best to start with a lower dose and then work your way up, if unsure.

It’s also crucial to discuss using CBD oil with your employer. Although CBD oil has legal, with low amounts of THC, it is possible that it will show up on a drug test. If you work in an occupation that has regular and required drug testing, make sure your employer is aware of your treatment plan and responds accordingly.

At Seed2System, we craft our CBD oil from the seeds all the way to the final product in your hand.

cbd oil for joint painIt’s important to us that you get the best, full-spectrum CBD oil to manage your health, and that includes the way we extract our oils. We use the vapor distillation process, which means that no chemicals or solvents ever enter our products. This results in a clean, nutty-tasting oil that contains no additional sweeteners or artificial flavors. It also captures the natural flavonoids and terpenes of the hemp plant.

You can feel the creeping, familiar sensation starting. Maybe your breathing gets shallow and short, or maybe you break out into a sweat. Perhaps your skin begins to tingle, your belly starts to jump, or you get irritable. You know what this is because you have felt it before on many different occasions: anxiety. Anxiety, no matter which symptoms you experience, can be a debilitating condition that interferes with your everyday life. CBD oil for anxiety is a holistic way to calm and center your body before, during, or after an anxiety episode. Here’s what you need to know.

cbd-for-anxietyCannabidiol, more commonly referred to as CBD, works on the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in our brain () to regulate mood and emotions.

Even though CBD is derived from the cannabis sativa plant  it comes with none of the psychoactive effects made famous by the THC version of cannabis (often referred to as marijuana) which is why CBD is now legal in all 50 states in the U.S.

Of all of the research studies we discuss below, one of the most promising aspects of CBD for anxiety is that there is an exceedingly low, nearing impossible chance for addiction or dependence. Consider this quote from a report by the World Health Organization:

“In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

For those who suffer from anxiety, the opportunity to utilize a treatment with very few possible side effects, no possibility of dependence, and research-tested benefits can change their life. This is especially true compared with traditional pharmaceutical treatment of anxiety that brings with them a host of side effects and potential interactions that are not present with CBD.

So, how does CBD for anxiety (or CBD for stress that comes with it) actually help? While research is still needed, there are some preliminary small-scale studies that are pointing to its many benefits for anxiety and related symptoms.

A 2019 research study found that CBD caused a rapid decrease in anxiety scores and may also help in lower doses than previously tested. Researchers noted that:

“Anxiety scores decreased within the first month in 57 patients (79.2%) and remained decreased during the study duration. Sleep scores improved within the first month in 48 patients (66.7%) but fluctuated over time. In this chart review, CBD was well tolerated in all but 3 patients.”

Post-traumatic stress disorder comes with a wide variety of symptoms, including anxiety and hypervigilance.

In a 2018 study, researchers found that the entourage effect of full-spectrum CBD oil helped sufferers reduce their traumatic memory of an event. The anxiety and other symptoms surrounding this memory was also significantly reduced.

Whether your anxiety is generalized, stress-induced, or related to social interactions, a review of studies found CBD provided a bell-curve of relief from symptoms.

Recent studies have found that CBD binds to as many as 65 receptors in the brain. One of these is the serotonin receptor, which explains its effectiveness in relieving anxiety.

among other what? Are we referring to other areas of the body, if so, can we be specific? if not, consider deleting

cbd for anxietyThe market for CBD oil has expanded exponentially since it was made legal in the 2018 Farm Bill. While it’s great to have so many options, this can make finding the best product for you challenging.

First, look for a full-spectrum CBD oil. Full-spectrum CBD oil is extracted from the buds and leaves of the plant. These buds and leaves are covered with sticky resin full of medicinal compounds that include flavonoids and terpenes. These compounds work together in the entourage effect, with each enhancing the benefits of the other. You can learn more about full-spectrum vs broad or isolate oils here.

Further, some hemp oil products market themselves interchangeably with CBD, but hemp oil is much different. These products only extract oil from the less potent seeds of the cannabis sativa plant. When deciding between CBD and hemp oil, CBD will offer more potential benefits. We have a guide about their differences here.

Next, CBD oil for anxiety is available in a variety of forms. Tinctures are available in either one or two ounce bottles and you can choose from a natural taste or mint flavored. These are taken under the tongue (some use a dropper, and some use a spray) for quick absorption and faster relief (between 15 and 30 minutes).

Find a form of CBD oil that is easy for you to take in your daily routine or as needed.

Because everyone’s bodily chemistry is so different, there is no one-size-fits all dose when it comes to CBD oil for anxiety. The best way to determine the proper dosage is to “start low and go slow.” Take a lower dose of a CBD tincture, or try CBD  gelcaps for anxiety, then pay attention to how you feel for a few hours. It may be that a lower dose of CBD is enough to allow you to bring other tools for anxiety into play (e.g., slow breathing or a walk-in nature), or you may need a higher dose for more urgent or severe situations.

As always, talk to your doctor about your options before getting started with CBD for anxiety. It is also important to note that although it contains only trace amounts of THC, it may show up on a drug test.

cbd for anxietyUltimately, the best way to decide which type of CBD oil for anxiety (and at which dose) works best for you is to find a high-quality producer who creates the highest-quality product you can buy. As noted above, selecting a full-spectrum CBD oil brings all the benefits of the plant to you, but it all starts with the seeds.

At Seed2System, we worked with HGH Seed Inc. to develop organic seeds that we follow all the way from planting in the ground until the product arrives in your hand (that’s why we chose the name Seed2System). The result? A light, clean, nutty-tasting CBD oil that has no additives, no preservatives, no fillers, and no artificial flavors.

If you are looking for a full-spectrum, carefully-crafted CBD oil for anxiety but can’t decide which might work best for you, get in touch today. We can help you learn more about our different products.

We all know the struggle of a night spent tossing and turning. In most cases, one night of poor sleep makes for a cranky day. Sometimes, though, whether due to stress, physical discomfort, or any number of other reasons, one night turns into another, and then another. Soon enough, sleep is elusive. If this happens, CBD oil for sleep may actually be able to help you break this cycle. Here’s what the research says about CBD and sleep.

cbd oil for sleepAll of the buzz about the potential benefits of CBD oil for sleep is not news to the 14% of people in the U.S. who already use it for sleep. But how does CBD for sleep actually work?

Cannabidiol, better known as CBD, is a cannabinoid that is extracted from the cannabis sativa plant. Unlike its psychoactive cousin THC, CBD binds to cannabinoid receptors in your brain without producing the feeling of being “high.”

The cannabinoid receptors in your brain are part of your endocannabinoid system—which are in every human and most animals on the planet. As part of the central nervous system, the endocannabinoid system regulates the “rest and digest” functions of the brain—including sleep. Cannabinoids are produced naturally in the body to help you rest. But, what happens when your body isn’t producing enough of its own cannabinoids?

People who suffer from endocannabinoid deficiency caused by conditions such as migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and other hard-to-treat conditions may struggle with, among other things, sleep. CBD oil for sleep is a natural way to trigger your endocannabinoid system into producing more of the natural chemicals that ready your body for sleep.

Beyond this, people who struggle with regulating their sleep-wake cycle may find that CBD for sleep corrects that imbalance, too. Your sleep-regulating mechanisms may not be functioning well because of prolonged sleep deprivation due to insomnia, anxiety, or chronic stress. CBD for insomnia may actually manage the underlying cause of sleep disturbances to help you relax at the end of the day and finally be able to get that much needed night of real rest.

Recent research on CBD oil for sleep indicates that the short answer to this question is “yes!”

Consider the following studies.

Underlying all of these positive studies regarding CBD and sleep is that there are minimal side effects, no reported serious adverse reactions, and no reported drug interactions. CBD is a safe and well-tolerated option for relief of sleep issues.

There are several different forms of CBD oil for sleep, and the one you choose is a matter of preference. They include:

  • CBD gelcaps: These are a convenient and easy way to take CBD if you are a regular traveler or need a consistent regular dose
  • Tinctures: A good option if you are just starting out and want to explore the proper dose for your symptoms
  • Healing CBD salves: For sore joints or muscles, a healing salve (especially one that is combined with soothing herbs like lavender) might be the best choice

The best way to find the correct dose for a good night’s sleep is to “start low and go slow.” Even though there is no possibility of addiction and side effects are practically non-existent, the best dosage of any medicine is the smallest needed to do the job.

Your body chemistry is unique to you. The way you metabolize any kind of medication will be different from everyone else. Take small doses and pay attention to how your body responds. If it works at half of the “recommended” dose, that’s great!

Always talk to your doctor when considering any new treatment protocol, especially if you are managing a chronic condition. The likelihood of drug interactions is low, but it’s always best to coordinate any aspects of your treatment plan. And, while CBD contains less than 0.3% (that’s one third of one percent) THC by law, even that tiny amount may show up on a drug test. Speak to your employer if that’s a concern.

cbd oil for sleepQuality counts when it comes to finding the best CBD oil for sleep.

Start with full-spectrum CBD oil. Full-spectrum CBD oil contains not only cannabidiol (CBD)  but also valuable and naturally occurring flavonoids and terpenes from the hemp plant. These beneficial compounds work together to enhance the effects of each other. Full-spectrum CBD also contains high levels of myrcene, a terpene with sedative effects that can help you relax and sleep. You can learn more about the differences between full-spectrum vs. broad-spectrum (or isolate) CBD oil here.

Next, find a high-quality producer that can track your CBD oil from the seed they planted to the product in your hand. At Seed2System, we have a hand in and an eye on every single step of the production process—like a ‘farm to table’ restaurant! And, we’re transparent about it all so you can feel totally confident in the quality and effectiveness of all our products. We start with high-quality seeds developed for us by HGH Seed Company in Colorado. We use the highest quality extraction method, even though it cost us more than if we used the conventional methods most companies use. We believe Vapor Distilled™is the safest and most superior method for bringing you the purest plant medicine. This process uses no chemicals and the ‘flash activation’ method keeps the most valuable parts of the medicine intact. This way, the majority of the plant’s natural and beneficial compounds are preserved in order to deliver your improved sleep (as well as many other benefits).

Still wondering if CBD oil for sleep might work for you? Get in touch with us today. We’d love to help you find the product that greatly improves your sleep—not just for a few nights, but over your lifetime!

Many people want to improve their nutrition and overall health naturally. If you’re considering trying CBD for weight loss (or just to improve your general nutrition), Christy Thiel, our National Director of Education and Partner Relations at Seed2System weighed in on some of the most frequently-asked questions about this topic. Here’s what you need to know.

cbd for weight lossCannabidiol (or CBD) is an oil derived from the hemp plant. It’s an adaptogen, that is a non-toxic plant that can help stabilize the body, reduce stress, and return it to homeostasis. In general, CBD works on three major mechanisms that impact your overall health and weight loss. These include the:

  • Endocannabinoid system
  • Inflammation response
  • Parasympathetic nervous system

Your endocannabinoid system is responsible for regulating your metabolism and body temperature, both of which play a part in weight loss.

In addition, CBD acts on the inflammatory response in your body. This is a normal and protective response our body has that can unfortunately kick into high gear under certain circumstances, like chronic stress or other health conditions. In turn, this can lead to weight gain and a myriad of other symptoms.

Finally, our parasympathetic nervous system is the system that triggers the “rest and digest” response. This is the opposite of the “fight or flight” mechanism that’s dominant under chronic stress. CBD oil has the potential to calm this chronic stress response.

So, how does CBD work on these three mechanisms in the body to promote weight loss? As Thiel explains, research showcases a few major benefits of CBD for your body.

By helping the body stimulate CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the brain, CBD oil may actually work to both speed up your metabolism while reducing your appetite.

A 2017 study found that feeding behaviors in mice changed significantly when CB cannabinoid receptors were stimulated. These changed behaviors resulted in weight loss and a more regulated metabolism.

These results were first achieved in a 2015 study of mice that focused on the CB2 receptor (CBD’s primary target). This study also found a reduction in food intake, fatty tissue, and inflammation.

It’s a vicious circle: inflammation increases your chances of obesity, and obesity increases inflammation. Chronic inflammation also increases both the size of fat molecules and their density—both of which (you guessed it) can lead to obesity.

In some cases, oxidative stress is the culprit behind this increased inflammation. Oxidative stress occurs when free radicals overtake the body’s ability to counteract them with antioxidants. However, CBD oil can actually help reduce inflammation by reducing oxidative stress in the body.

Other research found that CBD oil also had the following effects on inflammation:

Stress affects every system in the body, and chronic stress can lead to weight gain. With additional stress, the body also begins to store fat around the organs, the most dangerous place for it. Not only is more fat created and stored due to stress, but the type of fat (white, as opposed to healthier “brown” fat) is also more dangerous.

Adaptogenic CBD can promote the production of “brown” fat, a process that protects against some of the most dangerous health conditions linked to obesity. This “browning” also helps to regulate body weight and maintain a stable body temperature, both of which are associated with weight loss. CBD oil may also help the body to use fats more efficiently.

Overall, adaptogenic CBD helps the body combat and counteract the damaging effects of stress, including obesity.

Another factor in your stress response is disrupted sleep. Thankfully, poor sleep is another type of vicious cycle that CBD has the potential to disrupt.

When poor sleep becomes chronic, cortisol production in the body increases. People who use caffeine to stay awake further increase their cortisol production. Additionally, sleep-deprived people consume more calories in unhealthier forms than those who are well-rested.

CBD oil can improve poor sleep, especially poor sleep linked to anxiety (which is itself tied to stress). With each solid night of sleep, cortisol production evens out, and the stress response calms.

There is good evidence that CBD for weight loss has the potential for positive results, but which types of CBD are best for weight loss?

Christy Thiel notes that the best types of CBD utilizes the plant in its most complete and natural state, stating:

“The best products for weight loss are full-spectrum and broad-spectrum hemp products. These products have more than CBD in them. Since the endocannabinoid system regulates metabolism, we want to support it with nutrient density that comes from hemp in nature’s ratios. Full-spectrum CBD includes as many cannabinoids and terpenes that were in the plant naturally.”

Many consumers utilizing CBD for weight loss are also curious about the proper dosage. The answer? It depends. A good rule of thumb is not too much, but just enough. Because everyone’s body chemistry, lifestyle, and weight loss goals are different, the dose for each person will be as unique as they are.

cbd for weight lossThe best approach is to observe your progress over time and make adjustments as needed. Seed2System’s 1500 mg gold tincture (and our 600 mg silver tincture) are a great place to start. Talk to your doctor and the producer before you start and titrate your dosage as needed.

And just one caution: CBD oil is legal with less than .3% of THC in the final product, like we produce at Seed2System. However, this small amount may be enough to appear on a drug screen, so speak to your employer before using if that’s a concern for you.

The origins of CBD oil for weight loss matters. Many consumers may think that all brands and products are created equal, but that’s unfortunately not the case. A recent study found that 70% of all CBD products were mislabeled, either in terms of the concentration of the CBD or in the type of oil (e.g., full-spectrum, broad spectrum, or isolate).

“Consumers looking for high-quality and safe CBD products should be able to trace the hemp oil back to the farm it was grown on and the farming practices use to grow it,” notes Thiel. “Retailers, websites, and trusted sources should have this information readily available.”

At Seed2System, we start with hemp seeds from HGH Seed Inc., a producer that works with Colorado State researchers for quality and consistency. Our vapor distillation process extracts the maximum amount of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids to produce clean, delicious CBD without harsh solvents or chemicals. We never add flavors, colors, or artificial ingredients, and you can track our CBD products from the seed to your bodily systems.

In many ways, Michael Mauti’s story seems like the typical trajectory for a talented professional athlete. A successful high school football player in Mandeville, Louisiana who became a co-captain and All-American linebacker for Penn State University. Mauti joined the Minnesota Vikings for two seasons before coming home to play for the beloved New Orleans Saints in 2015. His football success story seems the stuff of every athlete’s dreams, but the truth of his path is much different as his CBD testimonial shows.

During his time at Penn State, Mauti suffered three torn ACLs, potentially career-ending injuries that he recovered from. Next, another devastating diagnosis early in his pro career: ulcerative colitis. This inflammatory digestive condition is chronic, painful, and can result in debilitating pain and nausea.

Not that the symptoms of this autoimmune condition weren’t apparent during his years at Penn State. He was playing for the team when the Jerry Sandusky sex-abuse scandal hit. The stress and anxiety of dealing with the fallout from that scandal took its toll on Mauti’s digestive tract. This resulted in several surgeries and the final removal of his large intestine.

“Dealing with stress is an intrinsic part of being a professional athlete,” Mauti says. “But, I was also climbing up the potency ladder of pharmaceutical drugs to help treat my auto-immune related illness.”

And that’s when Michael Mauti found CBD and changed his life.

The pain and stress of dealing with recovery from major surgeries on his knees, the removal of his large intestine, and the residual pain that comes from a life spent receiving and delivering hard hits on the football field sent Mauti looking for alternatives to traditional pharmaceutical drugs.

“After years of using pharmaceutical drugs to treat my ulcerative colitis, and tired of dealing with the symptoms of those drugs, I began to research alternative and integrated medicinal treatments with the hopes of finding a treatment strategy that did not rely on these drugs for forever,” says Mauti. “I met and worked with doctors in the field of integrated and functional medicine. I dove into the literature, learning about more natural ways to help heal my gut and improve my immune system’s ability to control inflammation throughout my body.”

michael mautiBut the turning point in his recovery came when Mauti discovered CBD oil.

“When I came across CBD oil extracts, I scrolled through countless positive testimonials and finally decided to see what all the fuss was about.  At first, I couldn’t explain the effects it was having throughout my body…I felt less anxious, my gut felt better, and I was sleeping better.”

Unsure if it was the CBD oil causing the positive effects, Mauti tested to see if the effects were merely placebo.

“Even after I knew it was working, I would take full-spectrum CBD oil consistently, and then stop for a few days to try and notice any change.  Sure enough, after three or four days my knee would light up walking up a staircase, or my neck would be stiff and sore in the mornings. I could feel each day from not taking it and my stress levels began to increase.”

Mauti returned to his regular course of CBD oil for pain and stress management and continued to work with his doctors to make lifestyle changes to support his healing process. He realized that that the effects of CBD oil naturally easing his stress and pain was boosted by other integrated healing treatments.

He explains: “I think it’s important that people understand stress and anxiety aren’t things that are fixed by taking a pill or a few drops of oil. In the past, I’ve worked with sports performance psychologists to learn about sleep hygiene, breathing techniques, and visualization methods to help control heart rate and blood pressure in times of high stress and volatility. All of these things work fine on their own, but they can certainly make a big difference when used in conjunction with each other.”

The benefits of CBD oil for Michael Mauti were literally life changing.

Says Mauti: “I could go on for days about the ways CBD has proven its ability to reduce pain throughout my body. I’ve gone through more than ten surgeries throughout my football career, so pain management is something I have dealt with extensively.”

“I first realized full-spectrum CBD oil for pain really worked was about five days after the first of my three major abdominal surgeries. Wary of becoming dependent on opiates for pain management after surgery, I was able to supplement my entire prescribed dose of opioids with full-spectrum CBD/hemp oil extract within a week after surgery. I wasn’t sure how it was working, but my pain threshold was significantly increased.”

He notes that pain management is an important potential benefit for both armchair and professional athletes alike.

“If you’re in pain, it can become a burden on some of the most basic daily activities most people take for granted. Things simply start hurting when you get old.”

Mauti relies on CBD salve for the pain of chronic patellar tendonitis and eliminated his use of prescription anti-inflammatory cream altogether. CBD oil for joint pain is another option to ease soreness and stiffness.

Anecdotal CBD testimonial’s like Mauti’s and research both support potential benefits of CBD for not only pain relief but also relief from stress and anxiety. Each person’s endocannabinoid system plays a crucial role in maintaining emotional balance. This finding is replicated by multiple studies from some of the world’s oldest universities.

“Taking full-spectrum CBD consistently made a difference, either via soft gel capsule in the morning and then again in the evening with an oral tincture. I felt much more balanced between my mind and body in ways I could not quite explain.”

These potential benefits of CBD oil for pain and anxiety are available to anyone who is willing to give them a try.

michael mauti storeWhen it comes to beginning CBD oil for pain or anxiety, Michael Mauti believes the best thing to do is learn as much as you can about this treatment option.

“Educate yourself! Everyone has a computer in their pocket or in their hands,” he says. The emphasis on consumer education is why Mauti joined Seed2System as the National Director of Business Development and Chief Brand Ambassador.

“At Seed2System,” says Mauti, “we are still learning. Every day more discoveries are being made from scientists around the world who are studying the benefits and medicinal applications of these plant compounds.”

Seed2System’s patented vapor distillation process extracts maximum, full-spectrum benefits from the hemp plant. This produces a clean, fresh-tasting CBD product with terpenes, flavonoids, and other beneficial compounds fully intact.

At Seed2System, we follow our CBD products from the organically developed hemp seeds right to the product delivered to you. That quality product, says Mauti, makes all the difference.

“As an athlete, CBD has been an integral part of my recovery, and I really believe it saved my life,” Mauti says. “Given today’s climate and the pushback against opioids, I believe it is the future of medicine.”

Michael Mauti’s healing journey with CBD is just one of many. We’d love to share more of them with you or hear your CBD testimonials! Follow Seed2System on Instagram or Facebook to learn more about the life-changing effects of CBD oil, or shop our online store

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD, is extracted from the leaves, stems, and other plant matter of the hemp plant. Working on the body’s endocannabinoid receptors, CBD is readily available as CBD oil, in tinctures, in edible preparations (e.g., mints and cooking oils), and as a topical cream or salve.

Is CBD legal?

The 2018 Farm Bill made CBD products legal in all 50 states in the U.S. Additionally, the Farm Bill removed CBD from its classification as a Schedule 1 drug. However, it does require that the levels of THC—the intoxicating compound found in cannabis—be less than 0.3% in order to be legal. The Farm Bill also regulates hemp like any other agricultural product and permits the interstate sale and transfer of hemp products.

Is CBD safe?

CBD oil is safe for the vast majority of people. You may experience minor and rare side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, and slight dizziness. Most users report few, if any, side effects. Further, there are no adverse events that have been reported at this time. Those who are pregnant or taking prescription medications should check with their doctor before taking CBD products.

Does CBD get me high?

CBD oil is only legal in the U.S. when it has levels of THC that are 0.3% or less. In these small amounts, CBD oil will not get you high. There are generally no psychoactive effects. However, it’s important to note that even at these levels, THC could potentially show up on a drug test. Talk with your employer and/or doctor to avoid any issues with this.

What are the major CBD benefits?

Your body can enjoy a variety of health benefits by using CBD. Many use therapeutic CBD oil to manage relief from pain, reduce anxiety, and promote better sleep, all without the psychoactive effects of THC. There is also a growing body of research on both humans and dogs that CBD can decrease seizures, and more studies in progress about the effectiveness of CBD on common aches and pains (i.e., muscle aches and arthritis). Initial smaller studies are examining the benefits of CBD for a myriad of health conditions, including ADHD, multiple sclerosis, high blood pressure, and more.
